It is a fair ending, most of people thought it was this way from the begining. About the fight betwen jacob and mib, its now obvious what it was and why it doesn’t need no further explanation.
It was a good ending, what where you expecting? im completly satisfied dont need no explanation for anything else.
I’m sure i’ll watch it all over again in a couple of years just to look into some details and stuff. This was the greatest series of all time, enjoy it

Thank you very much for posting these videos, its been really difficult to find it online for places outside of the US (even LEGALLY its been impossible!) and downloads have been so so slow! Ending wise its cliche, every so slightly cringe, but a good watch
can someone please explain? Are all of them dead? why?? What was the point of the series? And whats with the church? And the flashbacks from as if they never were on the island???
I was left feeling that the writers weren’t smart enough to write a way out of what they had created. They wrote it on the fly, making it up as they went along, which was a great way to keep you guessing (and watching), but i now realise that i was a fool to ever expect closure on any single element of it. The closing line “there is no here, there is no now” couldn’t be more of a slap in the face to the millions of people (including me) who have watched all 121 episodes. I hope no other production team tries to pull this kind of stunt again for all our sake, but if they do, i won’t be tuning in. disappointing, but far from surprising.
It’s too bad… it was a Christian serie!! Erkk!!! What a waste of time! How much the church paid for making that bad propaganda. For going on don’t watch series, specially this one.

They werent all dead from scratch at all. The place where they are is the afterlife. But they dont go there at the same time, since there is no time in such a place : you are dead forever so you met every one who will eventually die one day.
Jack, Hugo, kate etc etc wont die at the same time. They will have a life after what happened. But when they die they will all join the split time line and finally be reunited with the people they cared the most for. Included the one who died way before.
They leave room for side stories then. The statue, the temple, the polar bear… It’s quite a good ending, since no one can get really frustrated by some dead end.
It also look like a christiant show because of a church. But it’s a sanctuary : pay attention while Jack and his dad chat, the windows bear the marks of all religions.

I LOVED the season finale and I loved the final scene.
I love the Idea that there is this timeless place where you live an alternate life wile the people you loved in your “real” life live until their death no matter “when” that may be. Then you all end up together before you let go of your life on earth….. I DO LOVE AL OF THAT…. BUT….!!!!

I REALLY want to know more about the Island and I am very disappointed about that.
I feel like the mystery of the Island has NOTHING to do with the “what happens when you die” ending.
Also,In one of the most recent episodes when Jacob’s REAL mother is asking the woman who ends up raising him about the Island, she says, “any questions I answer will just lead to more questions”. I thought “uh oh” this is sort of true.

This link explains things quite well. They did not die in the original plane crash. Everything on the island really did happen. It is only the flash sideways that were not real, this is the afterlife where they all meet and remember so that they are free to move on.

I personally am a bit torn about the ending…. I just watched it…. maybe I should sleep on it
Anyways, I sobbed like a little baby…. The ending was very moving – but all until the very end where Jack talks to his father, I thought that they were going back to the island – and that the island were their destiny…. which it sort of was… But I thought that Jack would save the island, than they would all return…. And since the smokemonster/MIB was gone, the island would then be this Utopia where they would all go…. all but Jack, Hugo and Desmond…. Just proves how wrong I was 
I don’t know if I like the ending that they meet in this afterlife, but then again, how should if have ended than?? I thing that might have satisfied me about this endning – was if they would have shown a flashforward of the remaining characters exsistence – Hugo, Desmond, Kate, Sawyer, Claire. Not a long clip – just like a minute or so – to see what happend to them, if they were happy afterwards. I think would have prepared me a little bit better for the ending – and maybe I could easily come to terms with the fact that they were all dead. They all moved on with their loved ones, and I love that fact that this were their destiny… but I feel like I lost a dear friend without a chance to say goodbye…. which means that this would take me a while to come to terms with…. but in a way, I have no idea how LOST could have ended if not like this……
but still, I am sad…. and I will miss them….. Forever LOST

You are missing the point. Lost is about the unexplainable island. It is just like life they get there and dont have A cleu where they are. All these strange, sad, nice, terrible an lovable things happen an each time a new situation. Just like real life.
Then at the end they go somewhere else and stil its is vage. The white light is the love that people feel and the choices we make. The black smoke represents the curriosity, hate, evil and fear and the choices we make when funerable. The show also shows there is no thing like good or evil or is there A god that understands it all.
If there is a god he doesn’t have a cleu what is going on.
What a cop out….good ending for a season but in now way at all can u say this was a good ending to the series. The answers to most of the questions we had wee not answered at all…and the island was was explained but stupidly….it would seem it was jacob bringing people to the island and not the island itself?…and what was all that red herring crap about syed and claire filled with darkness? in the end they seemed fine to me?(ANOTHER WASTED LOST UNEXPLAINED MYSTERY WHICH THEY DIDNT NEED TO WASTE OUR VEIWING TIME WITH).
And ok great they all met up in the afterlife!! BUT what has that REALLY got to do with lost and the island…his father was there and he never even touched the island ..it would seem everyone has an afterlife so so what…And ok if it was AFTERLIFE and not island tricks why could desmond travel to and from the afterlife? ….COME ON my six year old fellow lost followers can we really say this was a good ending to THIS show? i thought the ending was great, everyone as there own take but myn is that jack needed to plug the light in order for everyone to find there way to the afterlive, jack died in the island but the rest didnt hence kate saying i missed you to jack and hurley and ben’s gay moment, they all died, me eko probably moved on before with hannah lucia and libby, but the rest that escaped the island (sawyer, kate, the pilot, claire and who ever else) lived on and died at later stages but came back to help jack move on. (his dad tried many times during the series’s…. hence white rabbit in the 1st series), and as for micheal and walt, it just wasnt their time yet. the sideways flash was so that they could find each other (loved ones) to move on….. great 6 years! thanks guys.
I thought the ending episode was pretty good.
Especially the part where the characters are strangers to eachother but slowly start to remember eachother, THAT WAS BRILLIANT, very emotional!
Although I didn’t really liked the last minutes where everybody meets in church, it’s only a select group of whom some of them aren’t even dead?! That makes no sense to me.
I do like the fact that Jack dies at the end, makes it even more emotional but I think they shouldn’t have made the ending in a church, they should have made the ending at their homes.
Anyway, this IS and ALWAYS be the best serie EVER. Bravo!

Oh my god I thought people who watch this show were to be intelligent! Turns out the majority are a bunch of brainless hicks who still wouldn’t get it if you smacked them in the face with it. Very simple to understand how it ended. Jacob was never good he was stupid he did that to his brother what good person would do that. Then he spent the next x years trying to fix his mistake. Jack took care of that. What more do you need the world survived. As for the flashsideways we there thinking it’s an alternate reality turns out it’s a meeting place for the islanders to go in to the light together. At this point they have all died time is not a factor in this place so jack dies and meets all his friends again in this place. Same goes for Whoever dies next or before. It’s best way to end otherwise it could go on forever. It would nice to know more about the island but happy with what i do know and look forward to watching it all over again.

Surely Jack and Juliet wouldn’t leave David?!’ Though it seems to add some weight to all this malarky about them being dead and ready to move on etc etc. Same as Jin n Sun moving on without their daughter. Still can’t quite wrap my head around it all though. Sorta glad it’s over, but really thought the island was a real place, and would’ve preferred it if it was, and they were all heading back there for real. Anyhoo, it’s only a tv show, so lets not get too hung up!
If you haven’t figured out intelligence is not all to do with iq then your already too dumb and you should never have watched this show. Sun and jin’s baby was still in sun’s womb remember! So you expected to see a second version of the child too a little older perhaps wearing a badge that said i am sun and jin’s child! Give me a break what next. Before you ask claire’s aaron was yet to be born too which explains the massive bump on her belly.

I am not satisfied with the ending of lost.
Why didn’t Sawyer and Kate end up together? Just because it would have been awkward in the church with Jack and Juliet, etc. This was just the easiest way.. Just really hated that part.
And I love the Island, where they are all dirty and everything, not some stupid church. It should have ended on the island. And Sawyer and Kate should have kissed one more time.
So I am very disappointed in the ending. I hoped the ending would have been more like the first four seasons.
Because Sawyer loved Juliette. Jack and Kate were meant for eavchother, which is why they kissed near the end, and then were reuinted in the purgatory world. Don’t badmouth the ending just because two characters you wanted to end up together, didn’t. And it wouldn’t make any sense if the purgatory was the Island. They wanted more than anything to get off the Island, so why would the world they’d created for themselves, where everything is perfect, be the Island. Thats just stupid.
