Okay episode, nothing overly exciting, but *spoiler kinda* hearing more about John Locke 2. background was interesting, although it wasn’t much.

But finding out Ford was a cop, that was interesting, i’m starting to think this pararel dimensions role in the show is to show how the island changed their lives, maybe as we get closer to the finish more crucial things will be revelaed that goes beyond Hurley being lucky, and James a cop, and Jack having a son.
I don’t know, i just find it hard to imagine the two storylines ever affecting eachother in anyway, perhaps even merging, the island is gone and under water, so it’s not like it’s gonna turn out that they end up on the island anway, or anything like that, so maybe the whole purpose of the second storyline, is simply to show what the island changed in each of the losties lives, though that just kind of seems like a huge waste of time.
I don’t know, i’m just thinking out loud, or typing, whatever.

I think the explosion in 1977 split off another universe where things happened differently from that time (1977) onwards. So Jacks son, Sawyer and Miles being cops etc happens in that paralell universe. The idea of every concieveable outcome of every given instance splitting off a separate universe is beeing quite bandied about by scientists these days, I believe.
Well we got three distinct groups now, Locke/smokie, Jack/Hurley etc, and Widmore and cohorts Should be a setup for the battle to begin. Two groups die and one remains for control of real….alt…sideways….worlds…maybe they can move the island one more time “above water level”
OK DO U REMEBER SEASON 3 I THINK , WHEN THEY WERE IN THE JUNGLE HIDING UNDER A TREE AND SAW THE OTHERS PASS BY , BUT THEY ONLY SAW THERE FEET HAS THEY WALKED BY , THERE WAS EVEN A CHILD WITH HIS TEDDY BEAR , NOW ON SEASON 6 RECON , U SEE THESE PEOPLE WALKING WITH LOCK AND U EVEN SEE THE CHILD HOLDING THE TEDDY BEAR , WHAT THEY SAW BACK THEN IN OTHER SEASON WAS THEMSELFS WALKINg. See WHILE THEY WERE WALKING IN JUNGLE WITH LOCK THEY THE SELFS WHERE WACTHING THEMSELF BUT IN THE FUTUTE . THE TERM OTHERS IS ONLY THEMSELFS IN OTHER TIMES , THATS WHY EVERYONE WANTS TO KILL OUT THE OTHERS BECAUSE ONLY ONE COPY OF THEM CAN BE THERE AT THAT PATICULAR TIME. IF BOTH R EXISTING THEY GET INFECTED.

I think the parallel universe where they all have positive lives, is how the series will end. Either Jacob will come back in the end and “erase” the whole ‘evil parallel universe’ that is the island, or Jacob and the Smoke Monster will both die. And then all there will (and can) remain, is the ‘good parallel universe’. The end!

@james: no it wasnt them. in that episode there were onlt 2 or three people and a child with a teddy. in season 6 there was loads of people walking through the jungle with a child so it couldnt of been them. and how did withmore find the island if in the present if the island was under water???
